For Jeff, the most important and transformational times in his life have always happened around people. Being very social and energized by others, it made sense for him to wind up at inCOMMON. With relationships as the powerful bond that can change communities, it is the relationships in Jeff’s life that give him meaning. Jeff is married to his wife, Melany and they have 3 girls, Anna, Lauren and Caroline. Jeff grew up in central Nebraska, but moved to Omaha in 1998. Jeff has worked in the non-profit world in Omaha for 7 years after college. He enjoys Omaha, his church, music, art and literature.
Growing up in small town Nebraska, Jeff values how connected Omaha has become, and believes that the connectivity can have lasting impact on the Park Avenue community. As a good friend once said “a neighborhood is only as strong as the stories it can tell” Jeff believes that Park Avenue has amazing stories for Omaha to hear.
Being very open to hearing others, Jeff recognized that there is great power in truly listening to people and seeing where God is already at work. Through this mentality, he has found that most of the time, he is the one who is learning, who is being served, and believes he will be the one who has changed the most through the work at inCOMMON.
