Who We Are

Katherine Richard
Workforce Development

Katherine was born in California, but her parents moved back to Colorado shortly after she was born. She considers herself a Colorado native as she spent her entire childhood in Colorado Springs, CO. She was introduced to Jesus at the end of high school, but really dove into her faith while attending the University of Denver where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in International Studies/Spanish. During her time at DU, Katherine interned at Dry Bones Denver, a non-profit dedicated to meeting the “spiritual and physical needs of homeless and street-connected youth and young adults.” It was there that Katherine fell in love with neighborhood outreach and saw the importance of building relationships that reveal the God-given immeasurable worth and value of all involved.

In 2015, Katherine married her husband Brian and in 2016, her husband was accepted to medical school in Omaha, NE. They moved to Omaha in 2016 and quickly fell in love with the unique neighborhoods and incredible diversity. She is thankful that through inCommon, she is able to spend the best hours of her day seeing people come to know that they are loved by God while watching neighborhoods be transformed by the people who live and play in them.
