CommonTable
About
CommonTable exists to provide an entry point around a shared table for the development of healthy relationships which span the lines of socioeconomic diversity.
Each Monday night at 5:30pm a meal is provided by a volunteer or church group, either on a one-time or rotating schedule. Around 75-100 friends and community members enjoy the meal together and build relationships, with the goal of these friendships leading toward our CommonLife ministry.
We’d love for you (or your group of friends) to join us in this opportunity to gain new relationships and break down the dichotomy of “giver” and “receiver.”
CommonTable Volunteer
- Meal providers – Mobilize a small group of people to serve regularly within an already existing service program caring for those who are poor (e.g. CommonTable, Neighbors United Community Meals, etc.). Orientate your small group before and after each service program toward the end-goal of forming relationships with those who attend the meal. Average night consists of 100 meals. (Monday) (5:30-7pm)
- Hospitality Volunteer – Come down and help the folks serving and most importantly welcome our guests to the meal. You will be encouraged to help where it is needed and to spend time with the our friends and guests at the meal.
