Nicole was born in Omaha, and grew up in Springfield, NE alongside her two brothers and sister. She made it back to the city to study at the University of Nebraska at Omaha and quickly discovered her passion for education, languages, and people.
Nicole graduated with a B.S. in Secondary Education with endorsements in Spanish and English as a Second Language. Post-graduation, she packed her bags and flew to the small pueblo of Llanes, Asturias, Spain where she spent a year teaching English and completing a photo-journalism project with the Fulbright Program.
Nicole’s journey with inCOMMON started in 2015 when she was an intern in the ESL program. She continued as a volunteer, and now she is excited to be back helping with the GED program. When Nicole’s not in a classroom, you can find her playing in local volleyball leagues, exploring new places, or walking around town with her dog, Levi.
