Olivia Day

ESL Instructor

Olivia was born in Omaha, NE and is the oldest of four amazing siblings – Derek, Elise and Ryan. She attended Catholic Schools from kindergarten through high school which deeply instilled her drive for working hard, helping others and making a difference in the world.

After two and a half years of studying Architectural Engineering at the University of Nebraska at Omaha she felt called to travel the world with a cross-cultural exchange program, IFYE, to expand her horizons. She had the opportunity to live in both Austria and Costa Rica for 3 months each. This decision changed her life, inspiring her to study cultures and how they influence every aspect of our lives.

Olivia was introduced to InCommon in 2019 through her sister Elise who also volunteered for the organization. Since beginning her journey with us she has been able to immerse herself in her passion of helping others thrive in their learning. Today, she is our Lead ESL Instructor and is a certified TEFL instructor. She has been studying and practicing Spanish since second grade and loves applying her own learning process to the classroom.

Outside of InCommon, Olivia is a breathwork facilitator and is passionate about creating healing spaces and experiences for others.
